The Sport Accelerator is a pioneer sport business hub that brings together elite sport businesses under one roof.
It is a dedicated sector within Aspire Zone established to leverage Qatar’s status as a global sports business hub by creating new business opportunities for the private sector, attracting foreign investment and developing Qatari entrepreneurs. Through these activities, the Sport Accelerator will increase the share of the sports sector in Qatar’s economy, in support of Qatar National Vision 2030.
The Sport Accelerator is designed to take advantage of the economic infrastructure developed by its partner organisations, which together offer a business landscape that is flexible, reliable and committed to the sports sector.
The Sport Accelerator benefits from a flexible incorporation structure, with the MOCI and the QFC complementing each other as regulators of trade and commerce in Qatar. Through its partnership with these organizations, the Sport Accelerator allows businesses the flexibility of choosing a business vehicle regulated by either the MOCI or the QFC, depending on their requirements.
The Aspire Foundation has a renowned team of experts with strong knowledge of and background in the sports sector. As part of the Sport Accelerator’s offerings, businesses will have access to the Aspire Foundation’s expertise and business intelligence.
As with the incorporation of business, two legal and regulatory frameworks supplement each other - one managed by the MOCI and the other by the QFC, regarding legal, tax and dispute-resolution issues. The Sport Accelerator has been set up to ensure businesses can choose the legal and regulatory structures that benefit them.
